Always looking to save some money, I’ve been buying up pizza Groupons* lately. It’s a great way to try some place new for less money and narrow down the choices for what to do on a Friday night.
My first coupon took us to SoLo Pizza in Milwaukee. It’s street parking, which this suburban girl hates! However, there were lots of close spaces and a patient backseat driver reminding me how to parrallel park. Inside, we were greeted by a huge pizza oven behind the front counter. We were too busy eating our italian nachos appetizer to watch the pizza being cooked. Our main course was our traditional pepperoni & sausage pizza. All around, everything was rampantly cheesy, which we liked. Jenny and I also much prefered the SoLo italian nachos over the Ginos East version. For an early Friday night, the place was only moderately busy and the waitress was very attentive. Afterwards, we headed north to Kopp’s for some custard. View photos…
