Fall Foliage Poker Run ’11

Milwaukee Minis and Rallies

Combatting the wind, the Milwaukee Minis set out across the twisty roads of Southern Wisconsin to find fall color. We met up at Cooper Park and wound our way to the Pewaukee Starbucks for early morning pick-me ups and tummy warmers. Through the countryside we motored up and down the hills to see the glorious fall leaves. Our next stop took us to a subdivision clubhouse where treats and drinks were shared. Thanks for the treats everyone!

Our final leg took us through the Lake Country area past beautiful lakes. When we got to downtown Oconomowoc, my home town, we were suddenly stopped in our motoring tracks by a stationary train! Unfortunately, no one followed me on my train avoidance route (which is critical to have in Oconomowoc!) Jenny and I ended up at the final destination first. Luckily, the rest of the crew showed up at Burke’s Lakeside Restaurant soon after and we had a wonderful meal. I didn’t win the poker hand, but I did end up with all the cards! View photos…

It’s been a busy month! Finally we have photos of the Fall Drive for your perusal. It was a day of back and forths for us. Sunny, then rainy, then sunny, repeat. Downtown Monroe, outskirts Monroe, repeat. Walk to one side of New Glarus, walk to the other, repeat. In between all the back and forth, we saw some lovely things, bought some lovely pantry accessories, ate some ever so lovely food and had a great time. Thank you Chicago MINI Motoring Club for setting up a fantastic drive! View photos…

International MINI treated the local MINI owners to a night at the movies. At the dealership, We gathered for treats, conversation and door prizes. One by one, we splashed and dashed our way over to the Milwaukee Brewer’s Stadium for our outdoor movie. A bit of rain didn’t dampen our spirits as we watched Night at the Museum followed by The Italian Job. With honks of delight, the MINIs cheered on their on screen counterparts as they took Los Angeles by storm. View photos…

Thanks International MINI for a great evening!
