Cream City Custard

May 7, 2006 – West Allis, Wisconsin

Bessie arrives at Cream City Custard after a long day at the Milwaukee Mile. It's time for a cool treat.
Jenny dives in immediately. Her choice was waffle cone a la strawberry.
My cone runneth over. This photo is merely 60 seconds after the cone has been filled and yet has the appearance of four minutes in the hot sun. Though runny, the strawberry flavor of the day was delicious.
Quickly, I save the custard from a fate worse than death: falling onto the pavement.
Dad attempts to shove the whole cone in his mouth.
The outdoor seating area commands views of the West Allis water tower and neat rows of bungalows.
