The Milwaukee Minis gathered in West Allis at Cream City Custard. Together we enjoyed custard treats. Conversation turned frequently to the upcoming MTTS Chicago event.

Our crew consisted of Jenny, Brian and myself. We had mixed opinions on the strengths of the dinner fare, but overall it was delicious. The flavor of the day was the unique Mexican Fried Custard. Not quite sure what to expect, it turned out to be a tasty mix of cinnamon, caramel and crunchy fried crispy bits in vanilla custard. I’ve actually never had fried ice cream, so I can’t really compare. But it doesn’t matter, because this custard is worth the trip. Through the wonders of the internet, I was able to get coupons for Maggie Moo’s. Unable to pass up a good deal, we headed out to Brookfield in Bessie to try the ice cream we’ve heard so much about. We were not disappointed. The staff offered us samples of their deliciously smooth ice cream. After selecting a flavor, we picked our mix-ins and watch our treat being prepared. I picked cheesecake ice cream with cherries mix-ins. It was a wonderful treat that was really light and flavorful. Definately worth another trip. View Photos…
