Finally, for your eyes only, I have the Milwaukee Minis Christmas party photos. We ventured through sleet and snow to gather at John Hawk’s Pub. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John Hawk’s Pub is a little slice of Britain, complete with British phone booth outside. I had an excellent corned beef sandwich that makes my mouth water, even if it has been 18 days since last I tasted it. Our table did come up with an array of British foodstuffs not available on the menu. After consideration though, it was probably for the best, although it would be fun to have a deep-fried mars bar. On our way out, we took photos with Queen Elizabeth II. She was in full spirit with her Bessie the MINI inspired yellow dress and white hat, now available at your local Topshop. View Photos…

It all started with the hope of a free video camera. We scoured our photos for Bessie’s most interesting pose for the “Say Cheese” contest at RoadsideAmerica.com. It wasn’t until after we submitted “Bessie being eaten by a shark” that we learned it was a random selection contest, not a merit contest. Bessie did make the 150 photos posted on the site though. Just before the first big storm in Wisconsin, Bessie has been fortunate enough to suit up with winter tires. We got a great deal on a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks complete with steel rims. So far, so good, but we have yet to see how they do in something more than just a light dusting. Knowing Wisconsin, we won’t have to wait long.
